Zoetis Efforts at the Border

Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, Zoetis and our community of colleagues have been supporting citizens of Ukraine and the millions of people, including families and pets, who have been forced to abandon their homes and escape toward a safer future. In line with our purpose to nurture the world and humankind by advancing care for animals, Zoetis colleagues have worked together from the outset to provide veterinary care and medicine, financial support, and evacuation assistance to those in need.

Here are some examples for where we have been contributing.

Zoetis Foundation and matching donations

In terms of humanitarian support, the Zoetis Foundation has established a dedicated way for colleagues to direct their donations to the Ukraine relief effort. At this time, the Zoetis Foundation has made an initial donation of $150,000 USD to the Red Cross and commits to match global colleagues’ donations dollar for dollar up to $150,000 USD.  To date, Zoetis colleagues' direct donations to the Red Cross have reached over $90,000 USD.

The Zoetis Foundation also proposes a $100,000 USD grant to help animals in-need, impacted by the crisis in Ukraine.

Protecting food supply and supporting pets

Zoetis was one of the first animal health companies to meet the medical needs for pets at the border with charitable donations of diagnostic tests, vaccines, parasiticides and other medicines for pets and livestock.

Maintaining a steady supply of healthy food to the people in Ukraine is a top priority, and Zoetis continues to support the needs of our livestock customers through the donation of $500,000 USD worth of critical vaccines and antibiotics for food producing animals.

True to our purpose, our Zoetis teams are focused on the well-being of companion animals, too. Thousands of cats and dogs have been rescued in the past several weeks.

Over 4,500 doses of vaccines, 30,000 doses of flea and tick treatments for pets, and 1,250 diagnostic kits have been donated thus far by Zoetis to veterinary clinics at the border in Poland, Romania, Moldova and Hungary.

In times of crisis, we especially value the longstanding partnership of our customers. Working with global veterinary groups and distribution partners in the European Union, we are supplying donations of much-needed vaccines, parasiticides and other vaccines for pets from Ukraine in veterinary clinics across the EU.

Partnership with local charitable groups is essential to reach people and pets in need.  Through our support for Lower Silesian Animal Protection Inspectorate and the Judyta Foundation, Zoetis is donating essential medicines to keep animals healthy – and allowing pets to safely leave their homes in Ukraine with their owners.

Our commercial teams continue to look for opportunities to provide relief to veterinary clinics and livestock farmers in need in the region. The Zoetis Foundation also proposes a $100,000 USD grant to help animals in-need, impacted by the crisis in Ukraine.
